This approach has been observed in nature as well. Have you ever witnessed an animal shake its body after being assaulted by another animal or under stress? As though the animals wished to get rid of the bad feelings and resume their normal activity with that gesture. This approach consists of the following steps:
- Set a timer for one minute.
- Be in a standing position, relax your shoulders and close your eyes.
- Start shaking your body. Don’t limit yourself and don’t think about how you look. Just relax and shake your body.
- Do this for a minute, then stay in the same position for a few more minutes with your eyes closed and think about how you feel right now.
- Are you more relaxed than before?
