Hasselback Maple Pecan Sweet Potatoes Recipe
- 2 medium-sized sweet potatoes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoon butter (melted)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ cup pecans (chopped)
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
Set the oven’s temperature to 425. The potatoes should be peeled, thinly sliced, and crosswise sliced about three-quarters of the way through, but not all the way through to the bottom.
Both potatoes should be placed on a baking sheet. Brush them with olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste. They should be baked for about 30 minutes, or until they are tender.
Then remove them from the oven and raise the heat to 450 degrees.
Melted butter, pecans, maple syrup, vanilla essence, and kosher salt should all be combined in a small basin. After that, bake the potatoes for an additional 10 minutes after spooning the mixture over them.
After taking the potatoes out of the oven, pour the cooking liquid over them and let them cool.
