Here’s How to Identify Rice That Contains Plastic

China is the world’s greatest rice producer, producing more than 200 tons of rice each year, however according to Korean Times, the plastic in the rice makes it exceedingly dangerous.

According to this research, fake rice consisting of plastic and potato starch and steamed with rice aroma is sold by Chinese rice firms. To deceive the clients, this rice is then combined with organic rice.

This sparked more research to determine the veracity of these claims, and regrettably, the results were startling!

The amount of plastic in the Chinese rice was equivalent to a small plastic bag. However, there are several distinctions between the two that can be used to identify the artificial one, such as:

Test 1: Water

A tablespoon of the rice should be added to a glass of water. The rice is organic if it sinks to the bottom.

2. Test: Fire

You can test a few rice kernels for organic content by lighting a few of them. The phony rice will be obvious in the reverse scenario.

Test 3: Mortar and pestle

If you crush a few grains of rice, the rice will turn into a white powder if it is organic; if you see any yellow streaks, the rice is artificial.

Test 4: Mold

Rice that has been cooked in water should be placed in a plastic container. If you observe mold after leaving it in a sunny location for a few days, it is organic.

These straightforward tests can not only safeguard your health but also reveal where the rice you want to eat comes from.
