How to Make Chocolate Cake Without Eggs and Butter Using Avocado

This is how to make this delicious cake:


For the cake:

  • 1 ripe avocado, mashed until smooth
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour (HHL advises to switch to rice or coconut flour)
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 cups water
  • 5 tablespoons dark chocolate cocoa powder
  • 2 cups sucanat sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar

For the frosting

  • 2 ripe avocados, mashed until smooth
  • 5 tablespoons dark chocolate cocoa powder
  • 1 cups sugar (HHL advises 1/3 cup of Monk fruit sugar)

Method of preparation:

You should butter and flour two 9″ round cake pans and preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Then combine the flour, baking soda, kosher salt, baking powder, and cocoa powder in a big bowl. Mix avocado, water, white vinegar, vanilla essence, and olive oil in a separate basin. When they are blended, stir in the sucanat sugar.

Stir well after adding this mixture to the flour mixture. The ingredients should then be evenly divided between cake pans before baking. Verify that it is finished after 30 minutes.

After that, let the cakes set in the pans for 15 minutes so they may get absolutely cold before removing them. After adding a layer of frosting to the first cake layer, put the second one on top.

Finally, cover the entire cake with the leftover frosting.
