Garlic and onions have a strong, annoying stink, while peppers have a considerably stronger odor that lasts much longer. The aroma can linger for a long period on the hands, especially around the nails.
If you’re bothered by this odor, consider some of these suggestions.
-For roughly 1 minute, rub your hands under cold running water with a teaspoon or other stainless steel utensil. The molecules that cause the odor are considered to react with the metal and neutralize it when they come into touch with it.
-Mix salt with a little water until a paste is made. Rub your hands with this paste, wash and dry them. The paste will additionally make peeling on the hands. Do not forget to put cream after washing. If you do not have salt, try baking soda, sugar or ground coffee. In case you have a wound on your arm, avoid salt.
-Soak your hands in tomato juice for at least 5 minutes. Wash them with dishwashing detergent and cold water.

-Lemon juice should be squeezed. Soak your hands for 3 minutes before washing them. If you don’t have a lemon, vinegar or mouthwash can suffice.
-You can also rub your fingers together for 2-3 minutes with orange peel.
-Apply peanut butter or toothpaste on your fingers.
-Use cold water when washing your hands. The warm water expands the pores, allowing the foul odor to enter.
Surgical gloves can also be used when cooking or peeling peppers in preparation for the winter.
