Furthermore, 25%-40% of children experience growing pains, which typically occur in two stages: early childhood (ages 3-5 years) and later childhood (ages 8-12 years).
Growing pains are typically felt in the legs, front of the thighs, behind the knees, and in the calves, usually in the afternoon or early evening before bedtime. The strength of the pain varies, but it might be severe enough to wake the youngster up during the night.

Magnesium
Pain in the muscles and legs, as well as developing pains, are commonly caused by. Our bones are composed of a material known as collagen, which binds with calcium to form the bone structure.
In the absence of magnesium, calcium becomes unstable within the bones, resulting in cramps or developing pains. Many people use pure magnesium oil to relieve these types of aches.
However, this may cause skin irritation over time, so the lotion is an ideal solution, and it is also rich in other beneficial elements.
Arnica
Arnica extracts are an excellent addition to magnesium oil since they have potent anti-inflammatory qualities that alleviate pain caused by inflammation. Its anti-inflammatory properties prevent the activity of histamine, a substance produced by your body that causes swelling.
Ingredients:
- 1.5 ounces of magnesium oil
- Half an ounce of stearic acid
- 1.5 ounces of Shea butter
- 3 ounces of arnica and comfrey infused oil
- 1.5 ounces of aloe Vera gel
- Half an ounce of beeswax
Method of preparation:
Fill a container with 2 teaspoons dried arnica flowers and 2 tablespoons dry comfrey leaves. Then, fill it with 6 ounces of olive oil, stir well, and place the entire jar in a pot with about 2 inches of water.
Place the pan over a low heat for 2-3 hours. However, be certain that it does not evaporate or that the herbs do not become fried during this time.
Then, in a measuring cup or a heatproof bowl, combine the stearic acid, beeswax, and arnica and comfrey infused oil. Heat it in a pan with 2 inches of water until the beeswax has melted.
Then remove from the fire and stir in the Shea butter. Stir until it is completely melted. Then, leave it to cool until a coating forms on top.
While it cools, combine the aloe Vera gel and magnesium oil in a separate heat-resistant jar. This jar should also be placed in a pan of water and heated to warm it.
When both of these mixtures have reached body temperature, they should be mixed. Slowly pour the magnesium/aloe mixture into the wax mixture and whisk it with a mixer.
Mix for 3-5 minutes, and when it’s thick enough, set it aside to cool before pouring it into a suitable container that isn’t metal. However, it is ideal to choose a squeezable container so that you may quickly apply the lotion.
