Quinces, with a particular yet beautiful taste, are a true autumn delicacy. A main ingredient is vitamin C, which we know has a major role to play in preserving physical and mental health.
In addition to nutrition, quince is often used to treat a variety of complaints, from cough relievers to digestive problems. Interestingly, both the fruit and the leaves and the seeds are healing.
The fruit contains vitamin C, vitamins B1 and B2, carotene, calcium, potassium, sodium, as well as a small amount of protein, and lots of fiber.
The seeds, when left in the water, release mucus which is very helpful in dry cough. Quince also contains a lot of pectin, which regulates blood pressure and protects against harmful radiation in nature.
Quince leaf tea, in turn, is a great remedy for diarrhea. Dried leaves are boiled in boiling water and allowed to stand for 30 minutes.
It is recommended that every quince-derived product, as well as the fruit itself, be eaten in the morning for maximum benefit.
